Living in Tokyo, I work for an airline and I am currently researching dumping symptoms in esophageal cancer at Waseda University Graduate School. I also support patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and esophageal cancer. I am a CML survivor.
Medical History
June 2012: Diagnosed with CML on my birthday.
March 2014: Detected the T315I gene mutation and given a one-year prognosis.
May 2014: Prepared for umbilical cord blood transplant at a university hospital, but the T315I disappeared.
August 2017: Discontinued targeted therapy.
Current: Leukemia cells are still detected in tests, but I am continuing treatment-free remission (TFR).
